Page 2 of 2 Screen Printing , Screen-printing, Screenprinting or "Silk Screen" is the age old process of squeezing ink through a stencil. It is an incredibly messy process that takes a lot of time to set up (and clean up after), so we have a 24 piece minimum (no setup fees). The trick to screen printing is that the more total shirts you order, the cheaper each shirt gets. For instance, 200 black shirts, with one color of ink on the front (or any one location) will cost only $3.93 each. However, only 24 of the same shirt will cost about $5.98 each. Our Screen printing auto-press is capable of printing up to 10 colors on white shirts, and as many as 9 on dark shirts. For dark shirts with more than 3 colors, a white "undrebase" is required (ad the other colors are printed on top of it. The white underbase allows the colors in the graphic to be represented accurately, and considered a print color.
